This opportunity arose 6 months ago from one of our long time team members Vince Cinquini. There was an opening on his trip to Cedros Island that needed to be filled and having been there before, I jumped at the chance.  The previous trip was all about fishing pelagic species like Dorado, Tuna and Yellowtail. This trip was special because I knew we'd be targeting Calico Bass specifically at a place with so much potential for an 8+ pound fish and covering water that may have been untouched. We fished a total of 3 days for about 200+ calicos between the two of us with the biggest for Vince and I going just over 6 pounds. The average fish caught was around 3 pounds! See below for the biggest fish of the trip from Vince and I:

Nick Arant - 6lbs - Lucky Craft 190 Senorita Pattern

Vince Cinquini - 6.1lbs - Daiwa SP Minnow

Overall the experience that Cedros Outdoor Adventures puts forward is top notch, The food, staff and fishing guides are amazing. If anyone has any questions regarding COA feel free to reach out to me directly via instagram @narantdesigns.
If you love calico bass and yellowtail, this trip is a must at least once in your life!
